BRIGHTON & HOVE CITY IN BLOOM 2013 LAUNCH

JUBILEE LIBRARY, BRIGHTON

Monday 22 APRIL

10am – 5pm PHOTO OPPORTUNITY 11am

The Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Cllr Bill Randall, will join the new Brighton & Hove City in Bloom Community Group as they and their guests launch the first 2013 competitions along with a new logo and website.

As the weather finally begins to warm our hearts again, gardeners across our city and surrounding communities will be eagerly setting about the business of planting and growing. Whether it’s a garden, a hanging basket, an allotment or a window box, we with them will celebrate our growing communities both domestic and commercial.

NOTE TO EDITORS:
This is the first year as an independent group for Brighton & Hove City in Bloom.
Brighton & Hove City in Bloom is a campaign where communities, residents and businesses work together to improve the environment of the city to make it a greener, cleaner and more attractive place to live, work and visit. A focus will be on sustainability that has a direct, positive impact on local people and the environment.
We are working in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Parks and also with South & South East in Bloom to promote the Royal Horticultural Society’s In Your Neighbourhood Scheme.
